TabTrade - What It Is
TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is broad.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That would be a good addition once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Good for beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
Now, the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. But inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
