Tab Trade - The Honest Breakdown

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.

The Software

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after comparing.

FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Put together those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It should be part of your decision.

The deal: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
